International Women in Engineering Day

Happy International Women in Engineering Day! At Globaltech, we believe in diversity in the engineering industry and are proud to help raise the profile of women in engineering and the career opportunities available. To celebrate, we are highlighting and sharing the story of Pranoti, one of our environmental engineers.

Engineering has been in Pranoti’s blood since she was a child. Her father owned an in-house civil engineering firm where she would regularly visit the construction sites throughout her childhood. She quickly found the industry to be fascinating, leading her to want to follow in her family’s footsteps.

Pranoti received her bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. While completing her undergrad degree, her father expanded his business and she was able to learn and receive hands on experience in the water and wastewater utilities sector. After working for three years in the consulting industry, she moved to the United States to pursue her Master’s in environmental engineering at the University of Colorado – Boulder.

After obtaining her Master’s degree, Pranoti joined Globaltech as an environmental engineer. “Being with a design build company, I am able to experience the complete scope of my projects. I am able to design and be involved in the construction process, seeing both the beginning and end result of my work.”

Pranoti believes having women in the engineering field helps broaden the talent pool. “It is vital to have more female engineers that can serve as role models for future generations and trigger their curiosity.”

Globaltech is proud to be an ally in “transforming the future” for all women interested in the engineering industry. Diversity and inclusion are a large part of who we are as a company and we are proud to have a staff made of individuals from all over the world. We are always looking for great talent to join our team. Learn more about us and the opportunities we currently have available.
